KNOWING THE SECRETS OF HEAVEN

JEREMIAH 2:1-3.7-8.12-13

 

I have brought you to the fertile land to enjoy the fruit thereof and all that is good. But as soon as you enter, you are the dismay of My Land; Mine land you have made an abomination.

 

The priests no longer ask: Where is the Lord? The people who execute the law do not know me anymore, and the shepherds are rebellious against me. The Prophets prophesied for Baal, they followed that which was useless.

 

PSALM 36:6-11

 

How precious is Your Faithful love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shade of Thy Wings. For You are the source of life, in Your light we see the lights.

 

MATTHEW 13:10-17

 

Jesus said to be fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah the Prophet that the people of Israel had heavy ears to hear, his eyes were closed because even heard but did not understand, seeing but not responding.

 

Musings 

 

The situation of Israel in the time of Isaiah with the situation in the era of Jesus works was still the same situation that the Israelites did not want to understand the word of God that was sent by the Prophet and delivered Jesus.

 

Mark 7:6

And he said to them, "What is Isaiah's prophecy about you, the Hypocritans! For it is written: this people glorify me with his lips, but his heart is far from Me.

 

What about the Christian situation of today's Christians?

 

With the naked eye look indifferent alias not care about the word of God for various reasons, even one assumes no need of God's word for relying on the principle of life that has been rooted in him since childhood gets the family of ancestral heritage.

 

Mark 7:8-9

God's commandment you ignore to hold on to the customs of men. " Jesus said to them, "You are very good at putting aside the commandments of God, that you may preserve your own custom.

 

Jesus said that people who want to hear will be given the gift to know the secret of the Kingdom of heaven.

 

Matthew 13:11

Jesus answered, "You are given the gift to know the secret of the Kingdom of Heaven, but not to them.

 

What is the Secret of heaven?

 

It is not explained in detail the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven but it can be known after receiving God-given gift to the person who listens to God's word.

 

If we are given God, a gift of the word of knowledge then we can know something that is happening even that will happen because God tells about it.

 

E.g: 

 

When we pray for others, with the gift of the word of knowledge we will know the illness, or something that happens to the person.

 

Please read 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 about the gift God has given us.

 

Therefore, let's open the heart and mind to receive the word of God so that we will be opened to the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven.

 

Don't be as hard as your heart

Don't close your mind

Don't rely on your strengths

Cry and listen to the LORD!!!

 

Jeremiah 33:3

Cry Unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shall tell you the great and incomprehensible things, which are things which thou hast not known.

MENGIMANI YESUS BERBEDA DENGAN MENYEMBAH BATU

                Saudara saudariku yang terkasih salam sejahtera bagi kita semua, sebagai orang katolik kita tentu tidak asing dengan kata – kata sebelum menyambut komuni kudus “Tuhan saya tidak pantas Tuhan datang kepada saya, tetapi bersabdalah saja maka saya akan sembuh”. Kata – kata ini adalah kata - kata yang diucapkan oleh seorang perwira di Kapernaum terhadap Yesus yang memohon agar Ia menyembuhkan seorang hambanya yang sedang sakit.

                Ketika Yesus kemudian mengatakan bahwa Ia akan pergi ke rumah perwira itu untuk menyembuhkan hambanya, sang perwira itu berkata “Tuan saya tidak pantas Tuan datang ke rumah saya tetapi ucapkanlah saja sepatah kata maka hambaku itu akan sembuh”. Terhadap perwira ini Yesus kemudian mengatakan bahwa belum pernah ia menjumpai iman sebesar ini diantara orang israel. Saudara saudariku terkasih saya ingin membagikan apa yang saya renungkan mengenai kisah dalam injil matius ini (Mat 8:5-13) perubahan hidup, pengalaman mukjizat itu selalu diawali dengan ketaatan pada sabda Allah, hidup yang biasa – biasa saja, hidup yang datar – datar saja,  hidup yang tidak mengalami perubahan perubahan kearah yang positif itu disebabkan oleh kekurangan atau ketidaktaatan dalam melaksanakan sabda Allah.

                Saudara saudari, mungkin kita membaca, merenungkan, dan merefleksikan sabda Allah tetapi yang terjadi adalah kebanyakan kita hanya tiba sampai kepada baper rohani. Sesudah kita beribadah dan membaca kitab suci kita sudah demikian merasa sangat beriman, iman seringkali kita pahami hanya sebatas perasaan saja padahal iman itu lebih dari sekedar perasaan, iman adalah soal ketaatan pada sabda Allah. Saudara saudariku saya seringkali berpikir bahwa sebenarnya kita tidak perlu berdoa macam – macam, ktia tidak perlu berdoa untuk memohon mujizat. Cukup mendengarkan dan melakukan dengan taat kata – kata Yesus adalah kunci dari perubahan dan kunci untuk keselamatan.

                                Saya percaya sebagian besar dari kita memang mengakui bahwa Yesus itu luar biasa, Yesus itu hebat, Yesus itu sang sabda Allah perkataan perkataannya penuh makna, tetapi nyatanya kita tidak melaksanakan sabda, perintah dan kata – katanya. Contohnya saja ketika kita mendengar sabda Allah ampunilah, doakanlah, kasihilah orang yang membenci atau memusihi kita apakah kita mentaati perkataan Yesus itu? Ketika Yesus mengatakan hendaklah kamu menjadi garam dan hendaklah kamu menjadi terang, apakah kita sudah sungguh berusaha untuk menjadi garam dan untuk menjadi terang.

                Ketika Yesus mengatakan berdoalah supaya engkau tidak jatuh kedalam pencobaan, taatkah kita kepada sabda Yesus ini dengan mengusahakan kedisiplinan hidup doa. Kepada Yesus kita menuntut banyak hal tetapi kita kurang taat kepada apa yang disabdakannya. Saudara saudariku langkah awal dari daya kerja mujizat adalah ketaatan kepada sabda Allah, tidak pernah ada mujizat yang terjadi tanpa adanya ketaatan akan sabda Allah. Mari kini kita melihat dan mengevaluasi isi dari doa doa kita, bukankah doa doa ktia berisi segudang permohonan seperti mohon kesehatan, umur panjang, karir baik, mohon supaya bisnis lancar, masa depan baik, mohon supaya jodoh didapat sesuai keinginan, dan ada begitu banyak permohonan yang lain mohon ini mohon itu, maaf saudara saudariku saya jadi teringat dengan praktek beriman doa zaman dahulu pada zaman animisme, mereka dengan ritual khusus meletakan sesaji – sesaji mereka didepan sebuah batu besar atau di bawah sebatang pohon yang besar, lalu menyampaikan permohonan dan sesaji itu ditinggal pergi. Batu atau pohon itu tidak pernah berkata apapun, ini adalah praktek iman tanpa mendengarkan, sebab apa yang hendak didengarkan dari sebatang pohon atau sebongkah batu.

                Saudara saudariku terkasih iman kristiani bukanlah iman yang seperti itu, kita tidak sedang beriman kepada batu, kita tidak sedang beriman kepada sebatang pohon yang tidak bisa berbicara apapun, kita beriman kepada Yesus yang menghadirkan kata kata atau sabda Allah. Karena itulah iman kita pertama tama tentang mendengarkan dalam semangat ketaatan. Orang tidak mungkin bisa beriman kepada Yesus kalau dia tidak mau taat untuk mendengarkan dan melakukan perkataan Yesus, dengan mendengarkan dan mentaati itulah maka segala hal equal tentang harapan – harapan kita dan tentang kebutuhan – kebutuhan kita akan terjawab dengan sendirinya. Sebaliknya jika kita beriman kepada yesus hanya untuk menyampaikan harapan – harapan dan permohonan – permohonan kita tanpa mau mentaati dan mendengarkan sabdanya maka sebenarnya kita sedang memposisikan Yesus seperti orang pada zaman animisme yang menyembah batu besar atau menyembah pohon besar. Pertanyaannya adalah apakah perubahan positif yang kita temukan disaat kita menyemba batu atau menyembah pohon besar? Yang ada mungkin adalah kekecewaan frustasi, depresi atau bahkan mungkin menjadi gila.

Kalau kita sungguh – sungguh beriman secara benar kepada Yesus kita tidak mungkin akan kecewa, frustasi, depresi atau gila. Sebab beriman kepada Yesus bukan pertama tama tentang apa yang kita kehendaki, malainkan apa yang dia kehendaki demikian lah saudara saudariku jika kita memang sungguh – sungguh beriman kepada Yesus maka karakter iman kita itu akan terlihat pada mendengarkan dan mentaati perkataan Nya. Dengan begitu Yesus akan menjumpai iman didalam diri kita, didalam diri anda, dan didalam diri saya sebagaimana Ia menjumapi iman didalam diri seorang perwira di kapernaum sebagaimana dikisahkan dalam injil Matius pasal 8 ayat 5-13. Saudara saudari Tuhan memberkati kita semua.

“Beriman pada Yesus itu bukan seperti praktek animisme. Beriman pada Yesus itu pertama – tama tentang mendengarkan-Nya. Yesus itu bukan batu besar atau pohon besar tempat kita beritual. Yesus itu hidup dan bersabda.”

WHO IS JESUS FOR THEE?

MICAH 2:1-5

 

Woe unto the people who devised the idolatry and who planned wickedness in his bed; Who did it at dawn

 

PSALM 10:1-4.7-8.14

 

Why do you stand Afar off, O Lord, and hide Yourselves in times of distress?

 

You see it, for thou hast seen tribulation and heartache, that thou shalt take it into Thy own Hands. You are the weak to surrender; For orphans you are a helper.

 

MATTHEW 12:14-21

 

Isaiah's prophecy of the Servant of God fulfilled in Jesus.

 

Musings 

 

The prophet Isaiah prophesied a servant of the Lord would come to save mankind.

 

Isaiah 42:1

Look, it is my Servant who I hold, My Elect, to whom I am pleased. I put My Spirit on it, that he might declare the law to the nations.

 

The Prophecy fulfilled in Jesus but the Pharisees and scribes did not confess Jesus was the servant of God in the prophecy of the prophet Isaiah.

 

But many things show that Jesus is the servant of God sent, even Jesus is God to be man to save mankind from the death of sin.

 

John 1:10-11

He was in the world and the world was made By Him, but the world did not Know him. He came to His own, but His people did not Receive it.

 

For people who have not yet believed in Jesus is natural if they do not follow the teachings of Jesus but if a man confesses to believe in Jesus but will not follow the teachings of Jesus, then this person is only in the mouth of acknowledging Jesus.

 

There is a variety of motivations/objectives someone professes to believe in Jesus, for example because it needs baptismal letters for the purposes of his child's school, to be able to other facilities, or to marry, his Dsman

 

Let my sister in Jesus Christ,

 

We recall, what motivation/purpose We are baptized as Christians who have faith in Jesus Christ?

 

Do we now know who Jesus really is for our lives who have professed to have faith in Jesus?

 

Have we followed the teachings of Jesus and obeyed and carried out the commandments and will of Jesus?

 

We do not include those who confess Jesus in the mouth alone but the heart and mind do not focus on Jesus but the worldly things and our lives away from the righteousness of God.

 

Ask ourselves, have prayed, ponder the word of God every day and not do evil deeds while working in the office, doing business?

 

After that ask yourself, have you shared with others, or helped someone other than your family?

 

The two questions on yourself are the first step to check if we know Jesus truly in our lives.

 

Believing in Jesus is not just believing in the mouth alone but everyday life is immersed in the bustle of business/work and other personal affairs but there is no time or time for a little to stay related to the Lord.

 

Believing in Jesus is truly giving the control of our lives to God in order to live our daily lives according to the will of God.

 

It seems really theoretical, spiritual really but it should be that way.

We must leave ourselves because we have been redeemed by the crucified blood of Jesus to save us. 

 

1 Peter 1:18-19

For ye know that ye are redeemed from the vain way of your life that you inherit from your fathers it is not with mortal things, neither silver nor gold, but with precious blood, which is the same blood of Christ as the blood of a lamb without blemish and unblemished

 

As Christians who have faith in Jesus Christ should understand such things as believing in Jesus with all our thoughts, minds and whole hearts so that we will surrender to Him and live life as he wills and not live by our will.

 

Therefore ask ourselves again; Who is Jesus for thee?
