Musings
Gospel Readings Today, Jesus confirms how believers follow Jesus, namely:
First
The top priority is Jesus, even Jesus is everything to us.
Matthew 10:37
Whoever loves his father or mother is more than Me, he is not worthy of Me; And whoever loves his son or woman more than Me, he is not worthy of me.
Placing Jesus in the control of life means giving himself completely to living in the righteousness of the Lord.
The Righteousness of the Lord from the Word of God and directly from the spirit of God or the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.
John 14:26
But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the father will call in My Name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I have told you.
Second
Deny himself, Pikul the cross, follow Jesus
Matthew 10:38
Whoever does not bear his cross and follows me is not worthy of Me.
Matthew 16:24
Jesus said to His disciples, everyone who wants to follow me, he must deny himself, bear his cross and follow me.
According to Jesus means to do the commandments and obey Jesus without protest nor often not to the desires of the flesh but subject to Jesus
Carrying the cross means accepting anything that happens despite having to endure suffering because it follows Jesus.
Third
Ready to give life for Jesus
Matthew 10:39
Whoever retains his life, he will lose his life, and whoever loses his life because of me, he will obtain it.
This is the hardest and most severe part of the cause in general no one willingly loses his life.
Only those who have unleashed the desires of the flesh and who choose to believe there are eternal lives in heaven who are willing to lose their lives for being faithful to their faith in Jesus.
These three things encourage us to do good according to the Lord God because we know this is best for us than we do evil that causes us to sin on God.
Romans 12:21
Do not lose to evil, but give evil with kindness!
